"I went to several places in Sri Lanka (the more expensive and the lesser) and I can honestly say I had the best time at this accommodation. I stayed in a tent by the river and the sounds of nature are incredible. The hotel is situated practically inside the rainforest, the owner came and picked me up in the village as the accommodation is at the end of a small path and not reachable by car (which made it even more adventurous, you’re truly going back to nature). "We had an amazing stay. As a regular traveller I have stayed in many resorts, hotels and holiday rentals Kurulu Estate is top notch and one of the most tranquil and relaxing places I have stayed. It is very secluded, with only two rooms on the property. It is in the jungle overlooking the mountains. This place really is a treasure. The whole time my husband kept asking me, "how did you find this place?" We were upgraded to the "best room". The design of the room was gorgeous, service was amazing...

"A one night stay for the national park so a clean room is all we needed. The room was better than we expected and comfortable. We has dinner and breakfast - food was 'OK'. Reception staff were very helpful, restaurant staff could be more attentive. Best is it is opposite elephant transit home which was, in some ways, better than the safari. "
