"Good stay, although we didn't make the most of it. Would have liked to drop our stuff off but so expensive to get from the city centre and back. Really enjoyed the hotel, although need to pay an additional deposit which apparently takes nealry 10 business days to receive back. Unless I have overlooked it on the website, I wasn't aware of this and I find it a little frustrating. This was the 6th hotel of our teip and the only one to do this."

It gives off this vibe like someone really cared when it started, the rooms and furnishings are really nice, but then completely gave up, as the details are cheap and staff is tragic. The checkin lady made me feel like her day’s worst burden, then said that the restaurant only sells frozen pizza and if we want something edible, we can drive elsewhere (in an establishment named Hotel Restaurant Riccoty). "I stayed 2 nights on business. All the staff were super helpful, very welcoming and friendly. The room was comfortable but could perhaps do with some upgrading. It would have been good if the hotel sold cold drinks as I had to go out after finishing work at c 21:00 and Villeurbanne did not feel terribly safe."

"Very hospitable - went to wrong Ibis (there are 5 within spitting distance of each other and have a map for people like us). Our Ibis was in a tall building, overlooked the train station (may not be to everyone’s taste), they gave us a goodie bag on arrival and had the largest room we encountered on our trip, along with coffee in the room. Grateful for the hospitality."
