"Clean, modern room and the hotel was really quiet at night. Breakfast was good with plenty of options. Staff were friendly and helpful. Only negative was the shower gel was running very low and not filled up and only two hangers in the wardrobe which was not enough for our five night stay. Location was ok, not many eating places next to the hotel but only a short walk to the train station where there were great transport links and places to eat. "The location of the East-West Riverside is amazing. Very convenient to many of Basel's tourist areas and has beautiful views of the river. It's clean, and well-kept with modern furnishings and decor. There was a small Christmas market (just food and beverages) right outside the front door of the hotel that we really enjoyed (early December). Breakfast was good but minimal, like an American continental breakfast. Only 2 complaints: flat pillows and the room was always too hot. We kept a window...

"Nice clean hotel in a peaceful location on the border between France & Switzerland. We particularly enjoyed the swimming pool, sauna & hammam. Breakfast was nice too."

"I like these apartments, they are an easy walk from the station. They are simple but smartly done. The sound proofing on the windows is excellent and if you are in a room at the front of the building you need it. The TV reception is a bit sketchy for the foreign channels but the WiFi is good enough to watch things on your own devices. "

"We really enjoyed our stay - located very close to the train station (where the airport bus also stops), and old town so super convenient. Very quiet despite being close to a road. Super friendly and helpful reception (providing maps of the city, Basel card, tips for getting around the city easily and onwards travel) and a very clean and comfortable stay for a good price. I would stay here again for sure"
