"The property is old and outdated, no way around that. But the pool, hot tub and sauna actually work unlike most places I seem to check in around town. The breakfast area is grubby but they try hard and they have everything you need to get a good cup of coffee and start your day. A lot of items available for breakfast as well. The staff is incredibly helpful and kind. Not the place you would stay to vacation in but it's perfect if your passing through. I will stay again. "

"The suite was really nice with a beautiful view. Downside the attached suites windows looked not only directly onto our deck, but also we could see in to their room. The doors were also very loud as they closed in the adjoined hall. There are approximately 100 rooms and 20 heated parking spaces. The rest of the parking was in the street. The parking was tight and this place would benefit from a valet service. Otherwise it was a very good property."

"Love the vibe at The Oliver Inn! Have stayed there a couple of times now and will definitely be back! The only qualm we had with this last visit was that our room never really got warm enough (we visited in early February). We had the electric fireplace running the entire time, but still had to make sure to bundle up before bed. However, the main room space is pretty large and the ceilings are fairly high, so I could see how it would be hard to heat the entire room on only that small electric...

"Extremely icy driveway and walkway. Was dark and not lit the best. The shower head flew off the shower too. They had said they’d send maintenance for that and the walkways but didn’t. The place was absolutely beautiful. The room and bed were fantastic. I would still go again"

"Over good place. When we arrived there was an excessive amount of flies all over the doors and windows. I was able to contact the owner of the property and we discussed it. We were there mainly for hiking and sight seeing so all we needed was a place to wash up and sleep. Over all good place. 4.5 out of 5 is what I would rate it if I can."

"Our family gathered together from San Diego and the Twin Cities to watch our son fly with his Navy Demo team in the Duluth Airshow. The house was perfectly located for us to get to the show and well as comfortably lodge us for the weekend. I highly recommend this property for any event you may be attending from outside the Duluth area."
