"We were welcomed to the Hotel Umbria by the proprietor who was absolutely charming. He offered us a chilled bottle of water for our room on arrival and also parked the car. Dinner that nice was in the Hotel restaurant sitting on the terrace and food was very good. Room had good air conditioning and was quiet."

The air condition was already set to heating only despite being in early October and the room was boiling. TV needs binoculars to be able to watch anything - no larger than a laptop! "The location in the old town was ideal. It was tranquil, right in the lake ad with many lakeside restaurants and cafes nearby. But because it was a renovated old house there were few windows and as a result slightly claustrophobic. Breakfast was wonderful, with many local pastries and cakes and the option to sit outside by the lake."

The seemingly paired down staff were very attentive, accommodating, and friendly.
