"Overall we loved it, though it would have been good to know that you can't drive to the hotel if you don't have a proper 4WD as it is located at the end of a long and steep tarished road. Luckily the hotel offers an transport service for the dirty road between 8am and 5pm. They also offer food(preorder only) and drinks at the bar. The staff was very nice and always helpful. "I wish I'd had more than one night to relax at this little gem of a hotel on a little gem of an island nation. The hotel arranged a taxi from DOM airport, and I was welcomed warmly and thoughtfully upon arrival. My particular needs were met with great care. My room, really a suite, was well appointed and included a fully stocked kitchen. Everyone on staff was polite and accommodating. I had a late lunch at the hotel's restaurant. "Hotel staff service was good and cooperative. But our rooms did not have good Air Conditioning. AC in one of the two bedrooms and in living room were not working well at all and rooms were quite warm and humid for comfort."

"Ellie was wonderful. The apartment was very clean and had a well stocked kitchen. The walk to the beach could be a challenge as it is uphill on the way back. It was fine for us. We would definitely book it again."
