"So this iconic spot rocks!! (Excuse the pun) the view and the beach cannot be beat, and the staff is outstanding in every respect. The restaurant is very good, which is a good thing, because there really isn’t a lot of other dinning options nearby. Still, limited dinning takes a back seat to the wonderful setting and relaxing vibe. Of course, this is all true, but you should be aware that if there is one hotel on the island that is a destination for day tourist, it is Mandalong Rock Resort....

"We drive 50kms from Ormoc hoping for a nice stay for the night. Disappointed. We expected the small rooms (we got #4), but the airconditioner isnt working. ‘It must have run out of freon sir’, suggested the worker, but didnt do anything about it. We asked for another room, but it’s AC also wasnt strong enough for the room with ambient temp is too warm. Since we’ve let the AC on for 2 hrs while we went out for dinner, at least the room’s heat has dissipitated at least. So we opted to remain...

"The hotel is within walking distance from the port of Poro. As with many places it could stand some improvements but overall it is a nice hotel. "

"hotel is nice for the area and only that one can stay in there. but it is not very good standard, the bathroom is not equipped properly, the food is so so, there are cockroaches around, bed is very uncomfortable and linen was dirty and generally not that great place to stay any time. we had booking fro three nights however after first night we moved to Cebu, and left this unfortunate place to someone else :-) "
