"This is most definitely the best place to stay in Exeter. It’s in a beautiful, quiet location, yet just a short walk to the city centre. The building is full of character and charm; our room was comfortable, clean and we loved the jacuzzi bath and fantastic drench shower with body jets. The staff were friendly and helpful and breakfast was lovely too, with lots of options available."

Reception was welcoming and after hearing about a bad night at a national chain the night before they promptly sorted an upgrade of room for us - so kind. This was a beautifully kept property, and so convenient for both the Hospital and for Taunton town centre. When we arrived, we were told that they did not have a reservation for us and when we showed the email confirmation, we were told that they did not work with Hotels.com and that they did not have the rooms available. We were able to resolve the situation eventually, but not a pleasant nor welcoming experience!"
