" The hotel was nice but in need of updating. We had a Japanese-styled room with rice paper doors with many damaged rice paper panels. There was no light next to the bed, only the overhead light. The service was excellent. Lumbini was filled with smoke from surrounding agricultural burns., which we were told were typical in November and December. "The location and overall appearance of the hotel is good. However, the room we stayed (first room on second floor) had a couple of dozen bugs in the room. We had to turn the lights in the room off and left only the bathroom lights on during the night hoping to attract bug away from us. We also had to use towels to block the bottom of our door to prevent more bugs from coming in from the hallway. Next morning we found a lot of dead bugs right outside of our room which was a horrible scene....

"Yes, this is a budget hotel like many I have stayed in Nepal but this hotel was a complete disappointment. The two positive things were that I always had hot water to take a nice shower and that it is located 2 minutes walk from where the bus stops, so was convenient to take my luggage. "This guesthouse was great. We just stayed in Lumbini for the day to wander around the temples nearby. The owner is friendly, helpful and answered all of our many questions. The room was nice and clean, with a good shower and bathroom. Would recommend."
