"The hotel is nice and clean and new. There is staff on the premises until 11p.m. The person on duty was very helpful. And the hotel is steps away from the local train station. There are several grocery stores nearby where you can buy some food. However, there was no early shuttle service, and although the reception staff ordered me a taxi for the next morning, the taxi didn't come at the agreed-upon time. "This is an old building so yes, there will be creaky floors and ‘ambiance’ that some may not appreciate. We found the front desk staff to be very friendly and helpful. The view from our room (552) was out over the street towards Lake Lucerne. We had 3 windows, 2 of which were French doors opening into balconies. Easy walk to bakeries, local cheese shop, grocery, and many ‘best of Lucerne’ sites. Bus to the main train station was super easy. "
