"Stayed for 2 night and my room was damp and bed wet, couldn’t sleep and had to get a new room at 1am when I had to leave at 6am to my next stop in the road trip, when I arrived at the next destination I open my suitcase and all my clothes are damp and destroyed "

"Well I knew that I needed to keep my expectations lower due to the fact that this hotel is in a small village and the buildings are very old. We had the most basic room and it was VERY small. The bathroom could not be any smaller unless you have a cabin on a cruise ship. It was warm the week we were there and there is no air conditioning and the room was stuffy. "We checked in at 9 pm no one at the desk. 2 singles was a queen bed with 2 duvets for my son and I both over 6 foot. Took turns sleeping on the floor after asking for extra duvets which never arrived nor was the room serviced . Not better than a campsite . Be warned"

"The room was clean, but the mini fridge was left unplugged and someone left food in it so it continued to make the room smell horrible. We had to wait a while at the front desk, because the lady was outside and didn’t hear the bell ring multiple times. Didn’t like that the door was a key. So if there’s more than one person staying and someone left and the other stayed, the other was locked in basically. "For the facility provided, 120 USD is definitely overpriced. The toilet was not even flushed (seriously) when we checked in. Booked for two guests but only one set of towel, comforter, pillow, and cup were provided. Breakfast is free but you get the quality that is "free". Internet connection is a joke. Again, I understand if the hotel just wants to provide the basic services but 120 USD per night is a no-go."

"The hotel is a very old fashioned place, frozen in time. Rooms were clean but small and the bathrooms were very tight. However, the breakfast was very good and the city of Monschau is a must see, very picturesque little city, just lovely. Just a warning, everything closes early. "
