"The hotel is advertised as having laundry facilities but does not. The lift wasn’t working and the power went out twice in the night, waking us up."

"Room was very clean and spacious for a family of 2 adults and 2 teenagers. Breakfast was better than expected- good continental and also scrabble eggs and bacon. Restaurant across the parking also very convenient and food was lovely."

"Just stayed for one night as travelling from UK to the Alps and used this as a stop. Hotel is in a great position to just walk to local amenities. Plenty of restaurants and bars. Although parking is not in the hotel itself, there is a good public car park literally 20 yards from the entrance to the hotel. Parking overnight is free from 1900-0800 and a couple of hours either side was only about 3 euros so inexpensive. "

"We were driving from Bordeaux to Frankfurt and chose this hotel from Expedia’s site on a Friday because it had onsite parking and a restaurant. After checking in the receptionist told us (a) the hotel’s parking area was not safe so we should not leave any bags in the car and (b) the restaurant was closed Friday, Saturday and Sunday ! We couldn’t get a refund but we found another hotel a few kms away with a secure parking lot and two restaurants, so we relocated. "

I wasn't able to confirm any details by calling the property because of a language barrier but that didn't bother me because my wife is French and speaks natively. "The welcome and check in was excellent. The room was great and is the best Hotel bed I have ever slept in 5***** superb. We booked for dinner and on arrival shown to out table. We were presented with a QR code to use!? Being technophobes I asked to order and pay for food in the normal way - I was simply handed a itablet - no instruction and no-one attended us again so after 30 mins we left and used a restaurant along the street. Not very happy about this, there appeared to be only 2 people...

"This was a neat opportunity to stay in a chateau (which by definition has modern conveniences retro-fitted). The room was nice enough. The optional breakfast was quite good - and very convenient for the area. The grounds are beautiful, we enjoyed a picnic lunch in the yard (which has a bunch of tables set up )."
