"For wanting to see the lava tube and the falls, this location was perfect for us. It all worked out well from a comfy bed to a nice breakfast. Dinner was also excellent. The only downside I can think of is that the rooms seemed a bit smaller than we experience at the other Fosshotel. Other than that, I highly recommend it. "

"It is a lovely property with a great view. The cottage had everything we needed and the beds were comfortable. The cafe had great food and the prices were reasonable for the area. Only complaint was that the hot tub area did not have no-slip mats and with the water and cold the floor froze up and I fell and broke my arm. "This is a very nice large hotel that can host bus groups. Very clean and high standards. We ate dinner at another restaurant so do not know how crowded the dining room was. "Wow, this place gives you the warm welcoming feeling just like you are at home with its very special and beautiful decoration. The owner gave lots of love to te interior design. She owns the coffee shop down stair that has a little of everything. The town shopping center is just 5 minutes drive. To park in front of the door you need to drive up a stiff hill. If you are not comfortable there is a parking on the street too. I love the patio and in unit washer dryer. Very nice owner."

"The house was amazing, the check-in experience was awful. The house is loosely connected to the hotel which manages the check in, but the house is actually family run. The front desk agent was friendly, but had us sit for almost an hour without an update. The restaurant refused to book us stating we weren't part of the hotel, despite the fact that the front desk disagreed. The house made up for it."

"The host was very communicative and gave us local recommendations. Her kitchen was closed but she still made us a pizza as we hadn’t eaten in awhile. She also allowed us to sit in her kitchen 30 minutes early for breakfast and eat about 10 minutes early too. We got our own tiny home to rest in for the two days we stayed. Breakfast at included but dinner cost extra. We will say, the second morning we didn’t eat breakfast there as it was closed for the first opening hour we waited. Check out was easy thankfully, host didn’t open so we honestly hoped she/family were okay as it was different than the hospitality we received the first night/day after. In any case, the entire stay was wonderful and we would choose to come back should we return to Iceland. Her service and nice hotel really stood out as opposed to guest houses or to severely overpriced hotels in the same area. Thank you for having us!"
