"The staff were really lovely and friendly. The room was great. Getting up the stairs with two really heavy suitcases was a little difficult but we coped. Having the bistro right next door was super convenient. Also having access to a laundry was just brilliant as we had already been away from home for well over a week and really needed to do some washing. "This is an old grand beautiful hotel which is upgraded, so rooms are large and prices are reasonable. We had a two bedroom unit which was completely private with a large common area and bar-fridge/ coffee making etc. bedrooms were large with king sized beds. There are sockets for bedside lamps but there weren’t lamps, a minor fixable issue. "We choose Quest Central Bendigo as we have stayed there numerous times and have always found the staff and facilities to be good. On this occasion we did not have access to two queen/king beds but rather only one and two single beds which did make our stay more uncomfortable. Also our granddaughter suffered terrible bruising after tripping on the landline phone cord which draped on the floor and hitting the very sharp corner of the coffee table.
