"Overall, the hotel/resort is very nice and serene. The beach front rooms provide a relaxing atmosphere. The current renovations make for a couple of hazardous areas, but surprisingly, no noise. There is only one restaurant on the premises - it has limited hours and is overpriced. The food was superb and the service excellent."

"This is an old school hotel. Reminds me of a B&B. The room was pleasant but rather small. I found the a/c not responsive. The restaurant, Ascots, was excellent. Service was very good, including the housekeeping. The continental breakfast was adequate. My biggest complaint is that the pool was more ornamental than functional. I never used it. "

"We had a lovely 5 night stay here in March. We were in room 1. It was so clean and quiet, cozy yet there was ample room! The apartment is very cool—there’s a fun little upstairs nook (up a spiral staircase) and the most place has everything we needed. There’s a grocery store, pharmacy, and liquor store within 5 minutes. We rented a scooter and parked it on the property without any issue. "Lana was wonderful, very kind and helpful! The room was "Spartan" (no frills), but it served it's purpose. It was clean and comfortable. I loved having a balcony which looked out over the city of Hamilton. Although I never used the pool, I would- however -suggest that it remain cleaned simply for aesthetic reasons. Railway Trail runs along the north side of the island. As you walk, you'll go in old train tunnels, walk under tropical canopies, and stroll on the grass "sidewalks" until the trail picks up again. There are great views of the ocean, homes, and plants. In Bermuda, you are allowed to paint your house the color of your choice but the roof must be white. This is because there is no fresh water source on the island so each home harvests rain water to use in the home. The water is stored under the house in large tanks. But why white? The white used to be from lime mortar that has anti-bacterial properties, now the the roofs are painted white which reflects UV light from the sun and helps purify the water. If I had a house in Bermuda, it would be teal!
