"We enjoyed our time at Gateway with one exception. The dining room and bar drinks "service" was barely existent. The dining room staff were fine, but severely let down by the bar staff. On more than one occasion we ordered drinks, reminded the dining staff after some time and reminded them again some time later. "Rooms were very basic with no chairs to sit on or bedside lights. Felt more like a Prison Cell. Dining Menu very basic & limited & expensive."

"I loved that it was relaxing and quiet and the staff was friendly. Being on the beach was great and the pools were lovely, clean and well-kept. The only thing would be that the bathrooms could do with a good scrub in some of the grooves around the shower. It was an enjoyable experience."

The apartments are clean, modern, well-equipped and have a lovely outlook over the golf course and lagoon. The swimming pool is great and shops and restaurants are at Port Denarau across the street. "Parking an issue not enough front desk staff didn’t even try to accommodate us fir late out even though we told them we had a night flight. We were told that we could leave our luggage in the office and hang out by the pool which was very dirty the water was green. The day we checked in our was not ready by 3 which meant the guest previously must have checked out late but we didn’t get that opportunity which os sad."

"It’s a simple 3 stars hotel. Hotel reception helped with booking excursions for us. There will be music till 10pm, but we loved music. We don’t mind. It is in front of the beach!! Having dinner on sand watching sunset 🌅 was great. The beach sand in this area is not white, it’s gray and darker color in the water. But there are no waves, you can walk 30 meters out there. Walking distance to market to buy beer and food. Restaurants everywhere within walking distance too. Cheap airport...

"It's a real paradise to relax in the sun and sea. We spent 8 magic days admiring the colours of the water, sunsets and the coral barriers with every kind of fishes. We felt at home with the staff that in short time became like a family. Each of them made any effort to satisfy with kindness and friendliness our needs and to supply any lack of the structure, which could be improved.
