"Fascinating concept - i.e. staying in a cave - but the cave space wasn't much different from a country cottage once furnished with old furniture, lighting etc. Our living room was adequate, but the bathroom shower cubicle was in bbad condition. The bedroom (deeper into the cave) was delightful to look at, but the mattress and pillows were hard. Perhaps this place would be a lot better at the start of the season?"

"I hope someone from the hotel reads this review because with a few simple changes it could be a hidden gem! The information on this site about the hotel is inaccurate. The use of the pool/spa is not free and in a total seperate building - you require swim hats and is not ideal for children. It is a nice spa with luxourious facilities. The restaurant is open from 8.30pm so again not ideal for kids. We were shown a basic menu for €9 but asked for the full menu which is individually priced and my...

"Property next to motorway but not signposted so not easy to find"

"Great experience staying in a ‘cave’ house. Very clean and cosy. Beautiful setting. The owners weren’t on site much (but can be phoned and respond quickly) so as long as you’re fairly self sufficient its not a problem. Best to bring your own food. Really looking forward to our arab bath booking but the hotel cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances, which was a shame. Definitely need own transport. Overall a great experience. "

"A very spacious apartment built in to the hillside with nice grounds and views over the Sierra Nevada. Our host, Manuel was very helpful and passionate about the local area and treated us to a guided tour,as well as bringing us fresh churros for breakfast. Our overall experience was superb. "

Nos cambiaron la habitación por un problema y luego, cuando les dijimos que nos íbamos un día antes no quisieron cobrarnos la noche que no usamos. "La Tala is lovely and very different. What I must comment is the difficulty in finding the place. The address given is far from adequate and directions are essential unless you are a local (and even some of those couldn't tell us where it was or how to find it!). My recommendation would be; head for Guadix Cathedral, then take the Ave. de Buenos Aires to the Motorway for Murcia.
