"Per the website I was expecting a quaint motel with character and charm. This is not what we got. Musty, mouldy, and unclean spaces throughout the motel. Smoking was made available just outside the doors which permeated the building. "

The area is rough - but it is right in the middle of the famous George and Water street. You can walk to the Battery District and view the harbour from a height. Parking is easily handled by a municipal building across the street. We stayed for four nights and were surprised at how inexpensive it was. "

"Location was close to downtown St Johns so easy access to restaurants, shopping and nightlife. Not too close to be disturbed by late night noise. Property is a little run down but comfortable enough. The rooms have a kitchenette but you have to ask at the desk for any pans etc... The complimentary breakfast is just cold cereal and prepackaged pastries."
