"Hotel was really nice staff very helpful and breakfast lovely. Only slight issue was the trundle bed in room for 3rd person was very uncomfortable and had to end up sleeping in sofa instead"

"Coming up by train, it was a convenient and luxury base camp for the Ben Cruachan circuit, if a short walk along the road doesn't bother you. Lovely garden and river. Very nice staff and food."

"We loved staying at Don Muir. Caroline was helpful, responsive and just a nice lady. Instructions were clear and she provided a nice little complimentary breakfast basket in our spotless room. Free parking is nearby, but you can unload and load right at her place.The walk to downtown Oban is about 15 minutes one way. We were happy to walk as parking in Oban was not great. Bed was very comfy and shower was great. "

"Not the greatest stay. The room was mostly clean but there were cobwebs around the ceilings and black mould at the bathroom sink. We were given a very welcoming check in tho. "

"I had a 2 night business trip so cost was important. The cost was within my allocated budget. The room was well kitted out. Kettle, fridge, ironing facilities, coffee,tea, table to work at, comfortable bed and a tv. Even had a clock alarm at side of bed and a hairdryer. Towels aplenty and a wonderful high pressure shower. I am sure I have not included everything but would highly recomend this guest house to anyone in oban for a short stay."

"Located in a really nice area, with just the river in front of the hotel. Food was excellent, the fish was so fresh, and the manager who served us, explained the dishes and cheese platter very well. We really enjoyed ourselves and will recommend to our family and friends."

"The room was fairly small but I had expected that. It was clean, a bit of mold on some of the shower grout. Everything worked fine. It was okay for the price and the owner was very helpful telling us where we could find dinner and breakfast."
