"The Ballymac is a lovely hotel in a quiet, rural location. The room was very comfortable and clean. It was very warm though, even when I tried to turn down the heater. The staff were very polite and attentive. However, they were absent at times at the reception. Not a huge issue except if you need to speak to someone about getting a table at the restaurant for instance. The food in the restaurant was quite exceptional and prices were fair. "The fact there was no elevator/lift made this stay impossible if we had not had our son in law with us. At 85 and 75 getting our luggage up those staircases would have been impossible. "
