"I imagine its just the age of the hotel showing and not so much the upkeep. We reserved this after showing up to 5 Themes and it being a room in the owners house. We weren’t comfortable staying there so we stayed here. It was the right decision. Definitely not a bad place and I won’t talk bad about it but I do think they could change a few things. "A stale kitchen smell hung around the reception and permeated the building. No lights were on and it was like entering a dark cave. I normally like quaint old hotels but this was just down at heel and dispiriting. The photographer must be very clever as the reality was dismal. The sauna was an extra 55 Euros so we didnt use it and didn't eat there as the stale smell was so unappetising. We would not have stayed except that we had booked and paid in advance."

"On entering our room, one of the curtains was hanging off the runner. We booked a family room with a queen bed to sleep 4.When I made the reservation I made it quite clear it was for 3 adults and the booking was accepted. "This is a very pleasant hotel where we have stayed before. However rooms are not large and bathrooms are on the small side. Service varies from very charming to quite sullen. The restaurant maintains a high standard with a diverse menu, although the selection does not vary much day by day."

"In France most restaurants close at 21:00. Odd but true. Because of cancellations at the Channel Tunnel we were delayed leaving the UK by 2 hours and arrived in Tennie at 21:30. Frederick the owner had prepared us a very pleasant meal with an extremely welcome bottle of Pomerol. We have a small dog who was also made very welcome. "Le Logement était limite insalubre. La propreté est inexistante, les équipements très vieux. Le logement ne correspondait pas du tout aux photos vu sur le site.. On nous a proposer un canapé-lit, dont l’épaisseur du matelas ne devait pas excéder 5 cm. Bref, impossible de dormir.. En revanche, l’accueil fut extrêmement chaleureux et convivial, dommage que le logement n’était pas conforme au descriptif est avis vu sur le site. "
