"when we (me and my son) arrived to check in the young blonde girl checked me in but the room was set up with a queen bed not 2 singles she asked if i was ok to hang around in the bar while she personally reconfigures the room she returned and took us to the room made us a reservation in the restaurant and allocated breakfast she was very pleasant efficient and knew the area well superb asset to the pub/hotel"

"The room was spotlessly clean, spacious and comfortable. There was a hairdryer and a fridge plus plenty of tea and coffee for a brew. Breakfast was small buffet styles with bacon, eggs (scrambled or poached) beans and you could help yourself to taost, selection of cereals, fresh fruit salad, yoghurt and croissants. Pleasant and friendly, would recommend and definitely stay again. Very close to the pier and sea front."

"Nice hotel. I've stayed here several times over the years. Good rooms that are maybe slightly dated but still clean and well maintained. There is a bar and the staff are very friendly and helpful. There are a limited number of parking spaces at the rear of the hotel that can fill up pretty quickly although there is plenty of other parking nearby. The Dovedale is virtually on the seafront with restaurants, bar and shops all within a minute or two walk. I would be happy to recommend the Dovedale...

"Amazing is an overused word. Was visiting apprentices in the port. Phoned to say would be very late. Kept kitchen open had very nice steak. Then went to suite. It was huge. Kitchen TV room, with everything including washing machine, and shower room. TV in living room and bedroom. View out the window directly to countryside. Nice breakfast. "
