"In the Theoxenia Hotel, 1960 is alive and well and wants you back. It is a stunning (or bizarre) display of mid-century aesthetic. The rooms in the newer hall have been revitalized and overhauled. They are fine if not luxurious. Hot water is fine, and the breakfast buffet quite good. It has a nice location near the lagoons. All in all, good or very good. Go for the architecture. "

The gourmet breakfast was excellent and better than most buffets at hotels in the area. The room was very clean and equipped with everything you would need. Loved the rain head shower too. "

The setting is rural: goats and sheep are grazing grass just across the street, and you will be awakened by a rooster. The place is exceptionally clean. The furnishings are practical with surprisingly luxurious linens and towels. The breakfast was filling but somewhat uninspiring. For lunch and dinner, you can walk to the town center in about 10 minutes or drive in 3....
