"We booked a couple of nights at this property. There are two buildings, the main one where the reception is located and another building close by where we stayed the first night. As we arrived on a Friday evening, we had a room on the first floor of the annex which has a bar under it that closes at 2am so we could not sleep until then. "Amal is a good location for exploring the lakes. There a couple of ok places to eat out, but not as many as I'd have liked. Definitely a base rather than a location. Hotel is in an older building and decorated sympathetically. Our room had plenty of space, but no tea or coffee making facilities."
