In April 2001, Egyptian archaeologists uncovered 22 mummies in Bahariya, some 350 kilometres from Cairo. They date from the 6th century BC and were neatly divided into two tombs.
Shortly afterwards, during a journey through the White Desert, I was given the exceptional opportunity to descend with an Egyptian friend in one of the tombs. There I found this untouched sarcophagus of a mother with the mummy of her child on top of her.

"I had chosen this hotel because I wanted to be in the desert and have some "security" and "comfort". From the balconi I could see a huge sea of palm trees. You can have access to Internet in the reception and have breakfast on the roof top enjoying its wonderful view. I´d appreciate the toilett and the room more clean."
