"Great little hotel with some exceptional staff working there, stayed for 4 nights and enjoyed every night of it, the food was fantastic and very well priced, the full breakfast in the morning was a great way to start the day off, some parts of the hotel could do with a little touch up and it needs more lighting on approach from the front but otherwise one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Thank you for that great experience. "

"Absolutley fine for a mid journey stopover. Room was clean, the beds were comfy enough. Tea and coffee making facilities as standard. The only downside was that the hotel doesn't have a lift, and as someone with an intermittent knee injury, I prefer the choice of stairs or lift when not on the ground floor. "

The decor etc. is quite dated and a little tired in places, but comfortable and generally clean, and the owner was extremely helpful and welcoming. A great breakfast with good quality ingredients. Some attention to detail with cleaning would be helpful - eg some mould in shower, and bathroom fan grill quite grimy, the odd cobweb, and some accumulated dust in nooks and crannies. But could not fault bedding, towels etc., and the bed was...
