"My wife and our little dog stayed here for the last weekend in March. We really liked the kitchenette that allowed us to make & keep food/snacks with us for our daily excursions. I so appreciate a 12 cup coffee maker in the room that allowed me to use my own filters & coffee to enjoy whilst walking across the highway to sip by the river's edge. "living in the area, my wife and I enjoy the Kern River and the surroundings, we often tent camp but felt this time we would stay at the lodge, we have a 45lbs dog and that was no issue there. The rooms are clean and taken care of. The store acroos the street has breakfast and burgers. The place was quite and the steps to the river access is a great feature. I would recommend this 10 out of ten times. "

"had to change rooms no heat we had small children there was not even enough towels for us all bathroom was so small your body touch wall and sink try to get in beds old and hard squeaky bedding did not match from pillowcases to bed comforters some pillows had pillowcases on them. Others didn’t walls were scuffed up with dirt floor boards were nasty. Looks like they haven’t been cleaned with the magic eraser ever in life in the toilet was nasty. Layers of dust and grime "
