"The hostel was in a very old building. The kitchen was very nice with everything we needed. Our room, with two bunk beds was very small and rustic. The mattress and pillow were very worn. I think these rooms have had a lot of use and it shows. No light in the hallway. Many things needed attention, but it seemed like this operation has other priorities with its campground, cottages, and restaurant. The restaurant did offer a very good meal at a good price. "I cannot say enough about how wonderful my stay was with the Palace Hotell. The staff was so kind and helpful, and the rooms and hotel were gorgeous. Dinner and breakfast are included and the food was absolutely incredible. They even provided gluten free bread for my breakfast, knowing I had asked about dinner and if it was gluten free. I hope I can come stay again, every hotel should look to their example. "

"Our stay was decent overall. Even though the room needs an update it was spacious for a family of four. The breakfast buffet was nice with a wide variety of food. However the heating in the room was old school radiator heating and unfortunately one of the units was not working properly therefore our room was a little chilly during the night. "

"The hotel itself only has 13 rooms, I think. The breakfast is pretty good, the staff are friendly and helpful. The front desk is only staffed a couple of hours during the day, so make sure you get the code to enter the hotel. I had just missed the summer 'peak', so there were only 2 restaurants open within easy walking distance. I only went to the Montecristo Restaurant. The food was good and the staff very friendly. My Visa card wouldn't work when I went to pay, so we worked it out in US...
