The staff couldn't be nicer and goes above and beyond to accommodate their guests. "Reluctant to write a negative review but, sadly, this motel merits a poor rating. A kind description would be rustic, an honest appraisal would be shoddy and poorly maintained. The room smelt musty, there was mould around cracked tiles in the bathroom, the windows had that hazy look of ingrained dust and grime, the bedroom carpet was ancient & stained and the fabric on the corners of the bed was ripped. To make matters worse, the room door frames were warped so the doors had to be slammed to...

"We stayed one night and arrived at 9pm, straight off the ferry (it’s quite a drive). When we arrived the restaurant was closed, but there was a super pizza restaurant about 5kms away… great find, fun owner!! The refuge has great views and it’s a must in terms of driving in and out to the south. Put it on your list!!"
