"A nice apart hotel in Douro Valley. Very reasonably priced. Spacious and clean apartment with parking on premises. Location of the hotel are wrong on both hotels.com and Google Maps. The hotel is at least two more blocks east. Check-in instructions were incomplete making it impossible to open the main door. It took over 1 hour to reach someone after 8pm to get the issue resolved. "

"Stayed one night with friends touring Portugal. Stayed here about 15 years ago and it hasn’t changed a bit. Location is great, short walk to down centre. Plenty of parking and set in large open space. Staff are very friendly and efficient, with a quick and easy check in. I wouldn’t want to stay a week but for a night or two it’s completely acceptable. "For us, this was a great choice. A quiet location and we had a view of the river from our room and also from the common area patios. The hotel clerk gave us excellent advice to take the scenic train from the station across the street which was a wonderful experience. He also showed us a scenic drive through the wine country with a detour to a lookout point which was breathtaking.
