"It was easy to book and checking in was easy once I found the right phone number. I had many emails confirming booking and one of the phone numbers listed took me to an irate gentleman who had not been involved with the hotel for 2 years. Need to check that all numbers are valid. The room was very nicely furnished and presented but the blind was impossible to raise so no natural daylight available. I cant comment on the catering as none was available over Christmas and this was made clear at the...

"Ideal stay when attending a function at Grittleton house as only a few mins walk. Room was clean however was very cold (we did stay in December). Breakfast was good but no veggie option for my wife and I did not like the cats walking around the dining room and at times sat on my lap and walked across the table."

"It's 1:02 in the morning and still the pub is full of drunk, loud people singing at the top of their lungs. Management must be encouraging it since no one has told them to go home. When you have guest rooms, you should practice respect for your guests who are trying to sleep!! Never again will we come here. "

"Truly gorgeous property, serene, friendly, helpful and responsive team. Plush and Modern bathrooms; one with a clawfoot tub, sleek shower and his/her sinks! The kitchen was also quite lovely and meticulously redone and well stocked with things for tea and coffee etc. The rooms were quite spacious and clean with lovely countryside views and what must be the most comfortable bed on this side of the pond!
