"Room was very clean. New renovations are a bit rough still but staff was efficient and pleasant. I wouldn’t go on vacation there but for the night it was great. "

"You won’t find a better property in chimney rock. They did a great job with the updates to the grounds and the rooms. The “backyard” is amazing. The only negative to come by is the $50 charge to check in early. $50 for a couple hours? If the room is ready, let the guests in! I know it’s policy and I get it. Lots of hotels try it, just pet peeve of mine when traveling. Again though, just an amazing spot!"

"Made reservation days in advance . Was supposed to be there for 4 nights , as I was volunteering for storm cleanup in neighboring town. Got there and was told there were no rooms. Had to drive 30 miles out of the way to find another room. Not even an apology. Worst hotel experience ever. "

"Enjoyed our short trip to the Chimney Rock/Lake Lure area. Location was perfect and only 10 minutes from parks/trails. Property was very clean with many thoughtful guest amenities to make the stay comfortable and convenient. We really appreciated the many different spaces to relax and enjoy the mountain vibe. Communication was also excellent. One note is to try not to be startled by the falling acorns on the roof from the two large oak trees next to the home. Would definitely recommend this...

"A group of mostly older women enjoyed this home and surrounding neighborhood over three days and came home feeling refreshed. The calm beauty of the place can't be beat. The roads to the property and the driveway were all well-maintained and not steep at all, and there is plenty of parking. Walking on neighborhood roads was nice, too, and there are paths to try as well. Overall, one of our best stays at a mountain house!"
