"The hotel was in the perfect position for leaving the car and getting the bus into Segovia. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Unfortunately we would not recommend the restaurant. I have waited quite a while before submitting this review because looking at other people's comments I kept thinking I am mixing up hotels but I fear not. The meal was not mediocre it was atrocious. "The Hostal is in an excellent location - just next to a park in the centre of Guadarrama, which is an excellent base for exploring the Sierra and visiting El Escorial. It is attached to a popular bar serving good food. The Hostal is quite typical for Spain: all the basics but no frills for a very reasonable price. Room was perfectly adequate and very clean. We would stay there again. Note that reception is handled from the bar so you have to phone to say when you expect to arrive. We...
