"The hotel is visibly old and could do with a refurbishment. The room was spacious but primitive. The restaurant is recently overtaken by two younger chefs and is excellent. The hotel and restaurant are seperate businesses. The hotel staff was kind but forgetful. "We enjoyed no less than 2 stays with Johnny in February. He was very friendly and accommodating, even gave my son a room on his own. Further, we had to arrive rather late, due to an emergency, and he also ensured that we got locked into our room. The rooms are clean and bright, and even had a small desk for me to work from. The breakfast was adequate, and was served in a sunny, quiet room. "

"What a little gem for those on passing through on the ferry or simply wanting to explore the area. The hotel is actually an old clock shop made into a hotel to make use of a space left empty, and it's not just a room but a whole flat - very spacious and decorated quirkily with lots of old clocks around.
