Yes, the bathroom layout (sink in the room, shower with a hole instead of a lock) was strange, but can be overlooked when you take into account what you’re paying and how much other hotels are. The area might make some people feel uncomfortable, but I never felt threatened. 2 metro stations are close by and you can be in the centre quite quickly.
