"Well priced centrally located hotel in the heart of old town Bergamo, located above a friendly restaurant/ coffee shop. Room was basic but adequate for a short stay, only downside was the shower ( we had read previous reviews so knew this might be an issue) it was snug & water came out in bursts rather than a constant flow."

But my 5 Vie stay wasn't a problem - getting there was. It is better for those that have a car. If you are taking a train and/or bus, please get there as early as possible. Due to late trains, I got in to Bergamo after 7. Missed the last bus, and finding a taxi (including using Uber) was impossible. I ended up walking for...

"The hotel was clean, the room was comfortable. All staff was so kind! The breakfast was nice and tasty. "

"The hotel itself was great. It had a retro feel which we loved and the staff were lovely. However, it seemed we couldn’t leave and re-enter after 10pm as we didn’t get a key to the main door. It also felt quite unsafe outside as there were many men hanging around trying to talk to you as you looked for the entrance. The entrance is quite concealed, so would be useful to be given instructions on how to find it. "

"The room wasn’t ready ( we arrived at 8pm !!) The place is extremely dirty. There were black short hair in bed , looked like they never changed the sheets. On top of that there was a wet towel hanging in the bathroom. Not sure about stars rating in Italy but that place ... man , it looked like a hoste for the movie “ hostel “ . Ah, they close at 2 am so you can’t get back in or leave the place after 2 am . Which was shocking to me . Extremely dirty place ."
