"The pros were the location, close to the airport and Amsterdam Central, great local transport links and supermarkets nearby, and it was a surprisingly quiet area considering its proximity to university dorms. My room was clean when I checked in, the communal areas like the lifts, reception and hallways were all very clean too. I only spoke to one member of reception staff but he was friendly and helpful. "I absolutely LOVED staying here. My cousin and I stayed there (we’re both girls) and we worried about the hostel pods being mixed gender. But we did not have to worry! It felt so safe and secure and everyone there was lovely. Even though there were many pod beds people were very considerate, quiet and respectful and I slept great all the nights I stayed there. Very clean, extremely nice facilities, cool living rooms and yummy restaurant. You simply must stay here!!!! "

"Considering the prices of hotels/hostels in Utrecht and its location, its a pretty good deal. The rooms are barebone but clean and spacious enough (as far as the private ones go). I would stay there again, but keep in mind its no frills!"

"I enjoyed my stay at this very unique hotel, very nice staff and the bar area was great. Bathrooms were very clean, my only problem was my room which was not a problem with the hotel, but it was up some very steep stairs and next time I will definitely get a different room. Other than that, it was great."

"I love this place and will stay there every opportunity I get. It’s cute and quirky and the staff are wonderful. The self service fridge is a lovely idea and good when you get back and needed a drink/snack. Bathrooms are well tended and good standards. I cannot fault it! "

"We had a great stay at Stayokay Dordrecht, the best of our 10 day trip in the Netherlands. It was so relaxing and the staff were all great. Really hospitable, fun and friendly. They gave the place a great vibe. Fantastic location too. Really felt like we were in the heart of the Biesbosch with so much activity happening on the river in front of the hostel. The food was excellent - much more choice than is listed on the website and great value too."

"On my first night there we found the aircon didnt work and we was cold all night, we found the room filthy under the bed, but after complaining about this and showing the proof the manager gave us a big discount, little did we know our next hotel let us down and we found we had no wherd to go for the next night, but the manager of this hotel helped us with 2 single rooms as that is what was left and gave us the big discount and a little more to help us out. For a new hotel they are still learning, but they have great customer service and the manager was so friendly and helpful."
