"This was not a 5 star hotel, but also didn’t claim to be. This was one of the least expensive options of the very overpriced options available in Bangor / Brewer. I read some very bad reviews about this place and some good ones- we were very pleasantly surprised. Our room was spotless and spacious. #128 on the end of the second floor. It was quiet although next to the road and the stairs. Free self parking. Free continental breakfast (coffee, tea, fruit, yoghurt, juice, cereal and granola bars)...

"The owners were welcoming. The room was spacious and quiet. The motel is a little older but the rooms also have some updated touches. It’s clean and comfortable and the second floor rooms have a small deck. It is also close drive to some great restaurants."

"This location, The Charles Inn at Vacationland in Bangor, ME is on your website and allowed me to book 3 rooms and it hasn’t been in operation for 2 yrs. I drove 4 hrs with family to arrive and find out we in fact did not have rooms to stay the weekend for my daughter’s college graduation. I had no other option but to look for 3 rooms elsewhere at the last minute and had to pay $1,300 more than I thought I was paying for the first place I thought I had booked. This location needs to be removed...
