"The staff were very friendly and helped us book taxis and Tiananmen square as well as letting us check in early, providing bottled water and letting us leave our bags in the hotel upon check out. The air conditioning and shower is good. The hotel is a little far from a metro station but taxis are cheap so it doesn’t really matter. The bed was quite hard."

"The hotel is wonderful. Hotels.com is shady and tries to over charge, that’s the unfortunate part. The hotel has a common area that offers a kitchen, free coffee and drinks. It’s a very cool vibe on the 3rd floor with a co-working type environment. We’ve extended our stay a few times and realized that hotels.com (Expedia) lists higher rates the first night of the stay that we wanted to extend, dropped a bit the second night. "Advertised as a private room but was actually a dorm (same story reported by other travelers). Sheets instead of curtains. Told off for talking at 11pm. Noisy repairs underway from 7am. Floors never swept, tables sticky. Gave the property 3 days notice I would be leaving early but they still refused even a partial refund for the remaining nights, leaving me hundreds of dollars out of pocket. Absolute money grubbing. Stay away."
