The water is gorgeous and clean. There is an island you can swim too or you can rent kayaks. The host family is great. It's a 10 minute walk to the Guayemalan border. You can buy Guatemalan shirts and beers and magnets, hats, ceramics, etc. The cabin is right on Lake Tziscao...

"Absolutely beautiful and worth the drive. You get to the property via a quick boat ride through a beautiful salt water river. The beach huts are authentic and simple however offer an ocean view. The beach is amazing we walked along the shore for over an hour warm water the undertow was strong so swimming was dangerous however staying in the shore lines was lots of fun. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. The restaurant food was fantastic. Highly recommend staying a couple nights here."
