"Wonderful hotel in the heart of La Rochelle. We are so grateful we chose this hotel as the staff was exceptional and so helpful, the room very comfortable, the spa was a nice addition and it's in a perfect location. "About 10 minutes by foot to the old centre. Breakfast was excellent and the room clean but a little dated. Underground car parking good would stay again."

"Great location right on the harbor and loads of restaurants. Easy walking everywhere. Elevator only started on 2nd floor but staff were very helpful about carrying my heavy bag up and down to it. Comfy room. Slept really well. Didn’t do hotel breakfast as there are plenty of other cheaper options just steps away. "

"The door didn't close without us slamming it, some staff were very friendly but others were quite rude and didn't tell us when the breakfast buffet moved next door until we came downstairs and reception was locked so we knocked until someone answered. The area around the hotel is lovely but the hotel itself isn't the best. It's old, with black mold in the shower railing, orange soap scum staining the curtain and poor ventilation, even worse AC. Says the soap etc is included but provided only one...

"Very helpful, friendly, and beautiful staff who pampered me while I was recuperating from a pulled knee ligament. Young Deborah and Pierre especially could come home with me to befriend my two offspring of the same age. The place itself is a gorgeous neo-classical structure of heavy sandstone blocks finished with contemporary fixings that together create a refined yet funky air of nouveau chic. Great value too."
