"Very calming as relaxing experience. Staff is very friendly. Especially Abhishek and Sujith took good care of us. The general manager also was checking in on us daily at the high-tea. The views are quite serene and the whole place has a very peaceful & relaxing vibe. Waah Taj! "

"Beautiful place very near to the beach to see sunrise and sunset. Seafood restaurant serve very tasty food. The ayurvedic massage options is a plus The bed is comfortable and air conditioning good The bathroom looks tired and needs updating. "

"Our room at the Turtle was spacious, good and clean with a huge terrace with sea views. The pool area could have been cleaner and there was a shortage of sun beds and brollies. It was very easy to get to the beach by either hotel car or a tuk tuk was only INR 100. We spent most of our time on Lighthouse beach as at the left end, looking out to sea, there was an amazing snorkelling spot. Brilliant."

"We had a great two weeks in the hotel with the staff being very flexible in accommodating us. The hotel is metres away from the beach, we had a sea view room with air conditioning which was very pleasant. However, the photos of the hotel on Expedia we saw are at least 20 years old and the hotel is no way a 4* hotel by western standards. There is no restaurant as part of the hotel any more, although there is a breakfast room which seems to get food from a neighbouring hotel. We were given...

"Right on the beach a great position but sadly tired & worn. Had to request cleaning as it didn’t happen unless I did. Could do with a good clean & a good luck of paint. Staff pleasant enough but not very forthcoming coming spent too much time on their phones"

"This hotel has gone from bad to worse over the years. Swimming pool in need of renovation Room not cleaned in 4 days No toilet paper Generally dirty and grubby The fridge we requested on arrival was delivered a day later, but they turned it of every day We were booked in for 15 nights but left after 4. Even this was a saga, does not take credit cards. On a positive note, breakfast was good . For your health and sanity avoid this hotel…"

"Spotlessly clean hotel, attentive staff nothing is a problem. Room fine, A/C and ceiling fan , TV which you can access Prime and Netflix if you have an account. Wet room shower with plenty of hot water, some rooms have balconies, so check when booking.Complimentary breakfast was freshly prepared and excellent. "This property sits back from the beach about 100m, making it quiet and peaceful, with many birds singing in the morning. The bed was cozy and the bathroom was clean. This is a great stay for a budget hotel. Kovalum Beach is really scenic as well."
