"As we checked in the receptionist asked us to pay ā‚¬31 to cover any damage cost. He then stated this is the hotel policy and we would be refunded upon check in out of the hotel. As we checked out the hotel, the owner only refunded us back ā‚¬20. When questioned the hotel owner he stated the ā‚¬11 was for the local tax. Although ā‚¬11 is not going to hurt my bank balance, itā€™s the basic principle, when booking the hotel via Expedia, the taxes are included. Also the rooms do not have tea and coffee...

When she arrived back 15 mins later, I was told I had to pay an extra 20 euros because we were 1 adult and 2 childrenā€¦. Even though I had booked for the correct number of people. "Fantastic location 50 metres from harbour. Lovely Tavernas nearby and walkable. Beautiful area close to Mikros Gialos beach. Spyros was such a lovely gentleman and so helpful with advice when required. Room quite basic but spotlessly clean and comfortable so very nice to stay there. I would recommend Captain Nick and would stay there again in a heartbeat."

"We stayed at the Scorpios Hotel on our way to Meganisi. We arrive late but were made very welcome and had a nice meal and drinks on the terrace overlooking the sea. The hotel is nicely situated just up the hill from the coastal road with great views of the islands off the coast of Lefkada. The hotel has a nice pool."

"Agios Nikitas is a very pretty little village and Hotel Odessy is situated right in the middle. But the hotel is very old and dated. We had single beds in our room which had concrete bases and could not be moved together. And the bathroom was very cramped, with a tiny shower cubicle and a shower curtain which was awful. You flooded the bathroom every time you had a shower. "
