"The price is great, the beds are comfortable, and the staff were wonderful! I booked this hotel last minute for a quick 1-night stop along our route. I chose it based on the overall 8.0 review rating, which I don’t think it deserves. This is solidly a 6 or 7 hotel. It is perfectly fine for what it is, but it’s not great. The shower walls weren’t clean (they had hair sticking to them), the bathroom vent fan rattled and made an awful racket the longer it was on, and you had to hold the handle down...

"Staff very friendly. I stayed there for my son's wedding at The Southern Oaks. When I got dressed for the wedding, I had no one to help zip me up. I called the Front Deck and the super friendly lady came right up to my room to zip me up from the back. So, thoughtful. The room was very nice and clean and breakfast was great.
