"The swimming pool is great. The food served at the restaurant is fine, but not to the standard of other restaurants in the area, that are actually cheaper than the restaurant. Really helpful staff. Staying in the swimming pool was a great experience. The room was noisy and not sufficiently comfortable. I think that there is a massive difference between the rooms facing the pool (quiet and great), and the rooms facing the road, as it was our case. "We booked a room, showed up before checkin time and they were not operating yet for the season. Mistakes happen, so we weren’t too upset as we found a nearby room at Hotel Portobello . The groundskeeper told us to get a refund thru Expedia. Expedia contacted the hotel, the hotel denied our refund. They said we didn’t cancel within the cancelation time frame?? This place is such a scam. I do not recommend unless you want to risk losing your money. "

"Arrived very late after 1am and still friendly person to check us in! Great atmosphere with nice drive way and gardens (Under repair). Left early but will be great in summer. Good coffee at breakfast."
