"Room was compact but clean. Biggest bug bear was the mattress was very hard and, together with only one unsupportive pillow, did not sleep well. There was also an add lingering smell, like someone who smoked was in the room previously. Shower room was clean but part of the shower pipe cover was missing"

"A brilliant stay with Hotel Ambrosia. I booked at short notice but nothing was too much for them. Very close to the Ypres main square. Free parking is only an 8-10 minutes walk away. Will definitely stay here again on my next visit. "

"Room was very small, making it virtually impossible to open a suitcase for a change of clothes. Air conditioning was via a portable unit, which had to vent into the corridor. This meant that to have anything like an acceptable temperature in the room, the door had to be left open all night. There is a glass partition between the shower/toilet and the beds, giving very little privacy. However close you are to your travelling companion, you are unlikely to want to be in such close and open...

"The room was nice...cozy...shower ok bathroom is outside but next door. The kitchen didn't have any cooking oil so I asked the lady at the reception if she could provide me something. She said no...I had to insist a lot so that she called her boss who told her to buy a bottle of oil at the shop in front of the hostel. She could have been more attentive and proactive. But the lady at the reception next day was really friendly."

"Spent two nights here while attending the passchendaele 100 memorial events and I was pleasantly surprised how large and comfortable the room was, especially the bathroom which was huge. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of good quality coffee hot croissant's and fruit bread. We booked an evening meal on the second night and it really was fantastic, the locally produced steak was cooked to perfection and cray fish starters were delicious. This is a family run hotel and it's abundantly clear ...
