"Very friendly and accommodating staff, nothing was too much trouble. Rooms really clean and well managed. Breakfast was very good and kids under 13 eat free. Bar and lounge areas are also very good. Great location on the Marina with easy walking access to the city centre or old town. Had a really relaxing stay and the place is also pet friendly which is ideal and also well managed. At this price point it’s absolutely spot on. "

"The car park requires walking around the perimeter of the building to gain entry to the hotel. I am disabled and this was inconvenient for me. The surroundings were dark and I felt uneasy."

"Just booked a 'Twixtmas' break for my wife and I at the IBIS to recover from the 'demands' of Christmas. Three nights in the IBIS was very good with everything you could want from a budget hotel. Bed was comfy, no noise, good room service convenient for shops and pubs. After various cash back deals the 3 nights cost about £100 which was excellent value. Will be returning in the future."

"Room was very spacious and clean. Very insulated and warm. The reception was stunning as we came in, the Christmas decorations are beautiful. The grounds are equally beautiful. Breakfast had a nice selection and staff were very friendly."

"Reliable cheap and centrally located hotel with onsite parking. The parking is now chargeable, but it is a very reasonable rate at the time of this review. They really need to remove the carpets in the rooms, they're awful and obviously not hygienic, laminate flooring would be a much more sensible and cleaner option! Otherwise everything else is reasonable, well maintained, clean and offers all of the basics you would expect."

"Visiting family before new year. Lovely single room with small en-suite but perfect for me. Everything I needed was available but in the kitchen, required more utensils for cooking. I got takeaway and used what I could, no problem with bowls/plates and kitchen appliances. Great spacious clean kitchen. Lovely place to stay, recommend. "

"Comfortable, fairly spacious and warm. Plenty of tea and coffee. Asked for a quiet room and got one in an annexe. Room thermostat and windows. Didn't have any food so can't comment, but the menu looked good for both breakfast and evening meal and not expensive. Lots of parking. Wasnt difficult to find, but you really need a vehicle to get to it. Overall excellent value and a good sleep."

"On arrival, the building looks like a run-down, disused office block, with a huge, almost empty, car park and no obvious reception entrance. However, once you find the entrance at the side and go in to reception, everything changes. From reception staff to chef, everyone was helpful, efficient and friendly.
