"A surprisingly beautiful heritage house renovated into 3 rooms, with windows retained. The way it was built, the decor, and the house was designed by the hospitable host's husband. There was a pond with frogs and crabs in front and at the back of the house. Breakfast included a rice burger. Cozy. The host even showed us the room next door with the original kitchen and oven! This was better than a nice hotel because of how the host took care of us."

The hostel is spotless, cleaner than most hotels we've stayed at in Taiwan! For once the pictures are representative of the location! Sound insulation seemed okay. "2 things I didn't like - 1) they provided disposable towels instead of actual bathe towels, 2) although mentioned that WIFI password is on the room phone, mine was no where to be found and it was past midnight and the lobby was unmanned, thankfully I booked 2 rooms for my group and the other room has it. However, the signal in my room was rather poor. But it was overall good value considering you get 40 mins of private onsen per occupant for each night's stay."
