"Room was clean and well appointed but insufferably hot! Was on the second floor and it was much cooler outside and downstairs but opening the window there was traffic noise. Recommend asking for a room at the front and on the 1st floor. If you are there in winter probably much more comfortable. Could have done with 2 pillows each too"

"I can’t recall his name but the young man on reception when we booked in was exceptionally professional, welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was good. "

"We arrived late to a note from Anne & Frank on reception, with our key and room number and although our room was a little worn (mainly the bathroom), it was spotlessly clean and the beds, pillows and bed linen very good quality. Anne was lovely and greeted us at breakfast, which was plentiful and fresh. All in all a good experience, would definitely use again as a stopover 😊."

"We were in a party of six and shred 4 rooms. The friends sharing 2 rooms said it was a bit cramped. The staff were friendly and there was no active reception Sunday evening we checked in ok The breakfast was plentiful and good value. Fine for a stopover"

"Hard to fault. Our hosts were welcoming and friendly (and spoke much better English than our rusty French). Our room with en suite shower/WC was clean, comfortable and quiet. The breakfast buffet was tasty and generous, and our hosts went out of their way to accommodate dietary restrictions. Access when reception was closed was straightforward, and advice on local facilities was available - all at very reasonable cost."
