"Another outstanding visit to Ivory Lodge. The courtesy and responsiveness of the staff is without equal. Great game drives. The watering hole just outside the rooms brought an abundance of wildlife. Bathrooms in the rooms could use a bit of updating and wifi in the rooms would be nice. But really very little to complain or worry. This was my 4th visit over the last 25yrs and will definitely come again. "

"Hwange was wonderful. The lodge is on the more rustic side, but it is super nice. The beds are comfortable. Everything is clean. The showers can be temperamental, but there is plenty of hot water (my brother struggled with the shower in their room and to be fair, the showers did a bit of alternating between hot and cold occasionally). The only complaint might be that the walls are thin. But our group took up the whole section where we were so we weren’t bothering anyone else and no one else...

"We are Zimbabweans born and bred now living abroad and are used to the bush. We liked the unique setting at the pan. The sign on the main road reads ' For an unforgettable experience'. Unfortunately for us it was for all the wrong reasons. Burst water pipe in the middle of the night flooding upstairs and downstairs.After shoddy repair it was worse than before.The fan was not working, often no electricity, kettle with a square plug not fitting the round socket in the wall. The whole site badly...

"The place is unique. Set in its own 8000 acres concession, centred on a waterhole frequented by dozens of elephants daily. Beautiful main lodge and great accommodation, tented and straw roofed platforms where the elephants pass and watch you in the outdoor shower or bathtub."

"We had a lovely time staying 2 nights at Gwango Elephant Lodge. The staff were all very helpful and the food was excellent. This was a very peaceful place and was amazing to have elephants just outside the dining area when eating dinner."
